Yep that reminds me that I should get over to the hunting and guns and ammo thread to boost up my post count a bit. I can always get into one of those 270 not big enough for moose threads or something that reeks of ethics and/or self righteous judgment..

Or you could post about a recent trip to the outdoors, maybe give advise when someone asks where a good place to take the family camping for a weekend getaway?

Crazy, I know.

No. Please don't. Start multiple political threads instead.

It seems like in the end they all turn political, ethical or sarcastic.

Laughing so hard it hurts.

Our communist amphibian must be keeping a low profile right now.

Rightforalberta?

Do we still think right and left are real things?

Here's a fun activity... pull the last 50 posts of the guys who are saying things like this. Most of THEIR comments are on threads that have nothing to do with hunting, fishing, trapping, or the outdoors. Lots of comments on political threads...

How about the one year member who first called Ruga a troll. His most posted-on thread? creationism versus evolution. What a laugher. Pot calling....

This place is going to be so much better now, without all that.
.
I am not sure it is going to be better, but it is going to be ne one opinion or one point of view, or one person less. I don't think I ever shared the same opinion but without him we are less. Every point of view matters.

Default I'm glad Ruga is alive and well

I just wrote to this guy and asked if he was collecting money for a registered political party in Alberta. The second question was, if not who gets the money that is donated.

I'll post any answers that I get. Thanks guys.

Rug I hope that you are fighting evil on another web site. This time behave your self.

Default He is what the "admin robot" sent back

"RFA is a group of independents and it is not a registered party. The funds received to RFA will be used for marketing and operations. KPMG has been asked to review the money raised and expenditures, which in due course will be available on the RFA website. For the information of those involved in the movement and for those too who oppose it."

The note failed google's fraud detection system.

It sounds like those letters that I get from Africa. I know marketing means spending the dough on pretty girls but I'm not sure what constitutes "operations".

If any of you are going to be candidates, please let us all know. I can't wait to see who these guys round up.

I guess it all comes down to how you define troll. It's usually pretty derogatory. Certainly Ruga posted lot of political threads, and he was moderately far right (like 90% of forum members). But he was a reasonable guy and you could discuss things with him. Not like some here with blinders on who get rude when you challenge them. I can't imagine what Ruga did to get himself banned. Not his style. I liked him. Maybe that's all it is.

I agree. My original post was a probable explanation on why he was banned.

Default not all bad,misunderstood?

I have copied a post from this thread, this is how i viewed the former member:

Being a troll simply means you often like to stir up discord and post obviously inflamatory content, so just based on that, of course he is a troll... That doesn't mean he is bad though. Trolling is an art form, and Rug could do it better than most! lol! He isn't the type of troll who just spouts off crap to hit and run. He is the type of troll who obviously has a bit of a brain and has the natural ability to communicate thought fluently and argue in an intelligent manner.

Whether I agree with his troll of the day or not is irrelevant, but if you can't recognize trolling at a high level, then you just ain't following Rug!

That ^

Personally, I never had a problem with Rug ... I thought he was a pretty good guy. But it was obvious that he was addicted to posting his countless political threads. Between Rug and a few others here, the AO General Forum was turning into a 'Political Blog' of sorts.

Knowing the Mods here, I'm sure Rug was given many/multiple warnings, before they pulled the trigger. My guess is, he just couldn't help himself.

Here's hoping a 'reinvented' Rugatika is allowed back on these forums, at sometime in the future.
