Default Dimensions of Win 70 .300WM Extractor?

I need to get a new extractor for my early ‘90s, New Haven made, CRF Win Model 70 in .300WM. I want to check the dimensions so that I get the right one. Mine appears to be 4 and 7/16 inches by 3/8 of an inch. Does this match with what others of you have on the same rifle? I believe the extractor on the 7mm rem mag is the same. Thanks for checking for me.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what anyone else has on their gun, what matters is can you find the size you need for your gun. The supply of these has become very limited for the Magnum calibers.

These guys have them, Numerich is out of stock. You will need a U.S. shipping address or need to get someone like Prophet River to bring it in. You might try pming Chuck, on here, he is a big Model 70 fan, he may know where to get these here in Canada.

Best of luck.

Length matters little with these extractor’s. I have several that are varying lengths. The critical dimension is the relief on the extractor face and even that can be modified. I believe a new production one will fit and a pre 64 will as well.

The aftermarket supply of these seems to have dried right up.

Wisner, Williams, and OEM. Length won’t matter (unless you are trying to capture the tail in a magnum length bridge) and they will all have the same width. You will need a magnum extractor, but a standard one can be modified to fit.

Default Got one coming

Thanks everyone for the help. I have one ordered and on the way. Years back some customers complained about the service from Wester Gun Parts. They were on their game with this order. Friendly, efficient, and competent.
