Bought a TC Prohunter in 22/250 and 25-06. Decided to buy a 50 cal barrel for it this year since I live in Strathcona county for the shotgun/muzzleloader/bow/crossbow season. Shot 2 does, one at 30yds and the other 178yds. Never found the buck I wanted to kill. I was really impressed with the 50 cal. I have never shot a muzzleloader until this year. I used Hodgen 777 50gr pellets and Hornady 250 SSTs. I found 777 to be very dirty, I had trouble pushing the second round in without cleaning. I might try something else next year.

Well, if they are made of stainless, use a 209 or rifle primer behind a bunch of smokeless or pellets, have a bolt or and/or a scope, I don't know nuthin' 'bout 'em either!

However, if you want to know about BPCR rifles, BP cartridge or muzzle loading shotguns, or PBR rifles, Ii can help you in that department!

If you are looking at inline muzzleloading rifles your choies are many and varied. I'd recommend a stainless barrel for sure and look for one with a 1:28 ywist and a 28" barrel. T/C makes fine rifles as does Knight and a few others. There is a lot of cleaning involved in what ever rifle you chose when you are shooting BP or the common substitutes.
