Latest finished product .... was built for an order that fell through... so it sits on my bench.
(I might add some leather fake barbed wire onto the outside of it - not a stamp, actual barbed wire -lol)

Never ceases to amaze me how well you can construct your leather items!

Glad I was able to pick up the very first holster ever made

Coho made the knife sheaths for me. The top one for my grohmans is outstanding. They are secure in it (rare for grohmans) and rides perfect on the hip. The bottom one he made for my daughters knife. Absolutely breathtaking. Right down to the alaska quarter he put in the sheath. The pictures do not do the quality of his work justice. IMHO both of these sheaths should be on display at an art gallery. And here is the kicker...I sent him the knives in a box, a brief note telling him things I like but with no direction and or instruction and said surprise me. Seriously, I said I like celtic things, I like the animal tracks I had seen pics of on his scabbards, I was raised on a farm in Sask so wheat would be nice, and we hunt grizzlies and that was about it. I got to meet Coho in person in calgary and let me tell you when I opened the package I was surprised. I was actually shocked at the quality, craftsmanship and beuty of the work. Coho, I raise my glass to you, you are a true artist. I cannot give a higher recomendation or higher praise. And as an added bonus he is a very nice person and it was truly a pleasure to make his aquaintance.

Hey Everyone !

After a needed break from the leather over the summer & recuperating some joint inflammation from all the hand stitching - needed time off if I wanted to keep making the leather - I am getting back to the table.

My apologies to all those who had requests that I was unable to get to & I understand if you have found other means for your requests.

I have some pretty full inboxes & emails which I haven't really looked at as each time I did, I ended up making 'just one more before the break' which only irritated the injury - lol.

I promise I will get to everyone who inquired about ordering & get the leather tools out to put a smile on everyone's faces

So here goes... BIG catch up time...

*** For those who have been using holsters, sheaths & slings I have made - any feedback would be great - let me know how things are working, ideas for modifications, etc. ***

I can honestly say I have put Quinns scabbard and the custom belt through hell. The poor scabbard has been in more cow chit blood and guts than any hunter will ever see.Quality of his work is outstanding. It amazes me the stitching hasn't come apart! Half the time i'm kneeling in cow blood and guts with it on. Awsome work my friend.Wish I still had pics to post of my rig.
Thanks a bunch for the fantastic durable products Quinn!!!

P.S. Folks I use it for mobile slaughter. Thats how I know the quality of his work.Thank God for Kiwi shoe polish.lol

1899b's new Marlin stock shell holder. (fully handmade, knifed & tooled)

I had traded one away almost ten years ago and it had always been my biggest trade regret and I was ecstatic to be able to right that past wrong. I was able to punch three tags with it this past fall and have since coined it "Hammertime" Its also my vintage (1972) which makes it even that much more special to me. Thank you so much Quinn. Awesome job as usual sir!!!!

I sent him the outline on my Chiappa so you could probably use it as well, he's doing a quick draw design plus a gunslinger image carving.

I don't think he's around anymore. Might be best to contact him at work.

EDIT: whoops, I think I was wrong after checking out his profile. He was on the boards last night.
