Default what do you think about using 7.62x51 in 308

Just looking for thaughts on useing nato 7.62x51 ammo for practice out of a new 308. I think it would be a great way to get some good shoulder time with a new 308 but do not want to do any damage to the new gun.

Looking for the good bad and ugly.

Thanks Brad

7.62 Nato is loaded at lower pressures than .308 Winchester - good practice ammo. Haven't any problems using it in my Savage 99s.

Some of that surplus 7.62x51 ammo can be quite corrosive mind you.

Default 308

not including the old corrosive primers in some of the rounds is there anything else wrong with useing it. It is loaded to lower preassure so that should not be an issue. and is it something a guy could use for yotes? Just asking

Thanks for the help

Brad
