End of August and September is suppose to light up, so the outfitters say but a good outfitter is booked solid during this time frame not only for this years but two years.

Fraser
Just got home yesterday. Fished with Oliver’s Fishing Adventures and Oliver was great! Fair price and very knowledgeable of the river. Sockeye are still running so the shores are crazy busy... they even have hotdog vendors on them!
Fished a full day with Oliver on Thursday and landed one fish over 7’ two fish over 6’ three fish over 5’ one 4’ and lost an 8’....was pretty fatigued for the 8’.
Planning to head down and do it myself next year! Apparently the pinks will be running the first 10 days of Sept and the fishing gets very good!! I’ll try and download some pics later.

Sore arms and bent rods....sounds great, look forward to the pics.
My son and I talked about the sturgeon we caught and hitting them with a 14' crestlimer, one on the rod and one on the motor.....now that would be an adventure....

Out here now with the boys. We just had a really big one on that we couldn’t slow down, spooled me and straightened the 9/0 Gamakatsu when it hit the end. Didn’t even give us time to get everything into the boat...

Using a bit of everything. Salmon, eel, squawfish and some guys are using roe. We’ve hit on everything except roe. I’ve got my own boat here but some in our group are out with a guide as well as there’s 8 of us.

WE just got back from the fraser three days on the river with our own boat. WE used the same baits as you except eel. We had slow fishing we fished by the mouth of the Harrison river in some nice spots. Weather was unreal warm and sunny. It can be frustrating watching these things breach right over your bait and not a bite. Next year is pink year so we will try again in early September.

The weather has changed today. It’s been super windy all day and a lot colder... Not a lot of fish caught today but we did see on 10+ some guys caught and I’d bet every dollar I have the one we lost was over that too. Only fish I’ve ever had that just swam away, not racing away, and couldn’t be slowed down.
Fish of dreams, except with me it’ll be in my nightmares. Lol

Bent rods and sore arms
Thx all for sharing.
Addictive fishing for sure.
8' plus fish launching itself out the water 6' and then running out 200 yards of line...simply epic.
