Default AB ENV PRO on County maps

Just wanted to ask some of the guys on here that knwo a lot about hunting what it means if it says AB ENV PRO on a county map. It is crown land and looks the same as if it were a grazing lease. I cannot find it on the SRD map online so I have no clue if it is off limits?

Also I have found some pieces that are not colored green that say "The Governors of the University of Alberta", now who would I contact to hunt that piece? I found a nice piece that is a whole 6 sections and another that is 3 sections. This is in really nice hunting areas near hutterites.

Thank you and hope I can get some clarification. I would call F&W but they always make me feel like I am committing a crime by calling!

Not sure about the first one but i know the land you are talking about for the second
Its land that is owned by the University for their ag projects
What i was told is they dont like bullets flying near their students
I dont think they give out written permission

That is understandable. I would probably bowhunt since you dont need to wait as long for tags and permission is easier to get. But I assume that is probably impossible to get permission there.

You would still need written permission to hunt there
Your not the first person who has looked at a land owner map for property within 45 min of the city lol

I know haha. I hunt the area already but on hutterite land and others I have acquired over the years but I am trying to expand my territory haha. I know I would need written permission haha, I am just saying if anything, I know that permission to bowhunt is easier to get becasue arrows don't go as far as bullets. I have permission to hunt pieces where the farmers hate rifles becasue they have had too many near misses, but are fne with bowhunting. One of the reasons I picked it up as well haha!
