If you could only eat a regimented nutritional health diet on the day you eat anything...
At any local restaurant...what would you crave the most.
So note....nothing you could cook...but that ANYONE could order at any public restaurant establishment.
Oh ya... and still on the menu
Where you get it?
A little background of what it is?
What is in it?
Is there some memory that makes it even more special?
Have fun with and maybe some mouths will start watering.
Cheers
Sun

Same thing but from skeggy, and a generous splash of vinegar.

Since I started my weight loss journey last January, I did the same diet you were on I believe.
Stopped the diet in April, but have been very smart about what I eat since.
To that effect, I don’t know if it’s from the lack of eating out, or the novelty setting of to seat meal service with my movie, but when I go to the VIP theatre in Seton the pulled pork nachos! I don’t go to the theatre often, but am counting down the days to Star Wars on dec 19th a bit for the movie, mostly for the nachos

I guess it depends on the mood I'm in .... but here's a few that I crave every once in a while ....
1) Philly Cheesesteak with onions from Pat's in Philadelphia - nothing like it here even compares, a real ribeye, frozen then shaved and seasoned on the grill and grilled with onions and topped with cheese then onto a fresh chewy roll made fresh and warm.
2) Lobster Roll from a place in Bar Harbor Maine - hit the treadmill, as it's full of garlic, butter and mayo on a grilled soft roll. Get 2 of them, they are like a hotdog bun overstuffed with claw meat and big chunks of lobster.
3) A Hoagie from Lee's Hoagie Hut in Cherry Hill, New Jersey - get a half sub - you are not finishing a full sub - this is a true Hoagie with assorted meats, dressed lettuce, fresh cheese, onions and tomatoes.
4) My moms prime rib roast ...... or maybe those cabbage rolls which are more meat and far less rice, and way bigger than others I've seen. Home made sour cabbage, ground up smoked ham hock mixed in with ground beef/pork and spiced up nicely.
5) Seafood Grill from a restaurant in Zadar Croatia .... squid, razor clams, lagostine lobsters, snapper and sardines .... omg fresh caught seafood from clean waters .... A platter for 2 people, $ 8 CDN

Looks like we've travelled some of the same circles. I second the Cheesesteak from Pat's. With onions, as you said. So, I guess you ordered the "whiz wit". LOL
Haven't been to Bar Harbor but had lots of Lobster Rolls in the east coast. You're right, get two.

Tony's Donair in Halifax comes to mind. Wheel pizza in Antigonish NS is up there.
Have not tasted since i moved west in 1997. Need to remind myself of these gems!!!
Like lots of the members here, I cook and barbecue ( 100 days/year avg. ) a lot and enjoy my meals but a treat out is nice!!

Isla Mujeres, Mexico... sitting on the dock at Ballyhoo's, looking over the ocean, enjoying fish tacos and a margarita while watching the sun go down.
