Default Hunting corn fields

As the title states I’ve been hunting around standing corn fields lately as they are a fairly new thing around where I hunt. What are some of the strategies that you guys use to hunt whitetail them? The corn is tall enough to hide them and they don’t need to move to eat.

Interested in this too.

The small group of mulies I've been watching over the last year near a corn field have disappeared in the last couple of weeks. I'm wondering if they aren't holed up in the middle of that standing corn somewhere!

I haven't hunted corn fields for many years, but when I did, I would walk the perimeter and check the tracks going in, and check between the cornrows, you can see quite a ways down them.

Standing corn is the frustration of many hunters in the Midwest for that reason.

From what I’ve read, cat is right, you just look around the edges for travel routes to and from other places but expect to be in for a long wait. The other option is bucks often walk the downwind edge of cover scent checking for does, because they cant see them either.

Cool

Walk across the corn rows looking both ways every row. May need to do this lots, depending on the field size. And get low, you can see farther.

Also Need a good windy day with the find in your face.

Their is an old bow hunting video showing this technique, I can’t remember the name.
