Yeah I can’t see Marleau coming to this market unless he doesn’t mind leaving his wife and kids. Can’t see her uprooting for what would amount to a year. He’s 39 and pretty much done. I’m pretty sure Marleau wants to go to a contender his final year...

If he is looking for a contender, Edmonton is the LAST place he’d go.
Can’t see him signing with a team that has the troubles Edmonton has to finish out a career. Most guys would want a fun and winning environment not the current situation.

I expect he, along with the regulars like Draisaitl, RNH, Klefbom, Nurse will sit out all except the final preseason game and guys like Neal, Sheahan, Nygard, Yamamato (if he's healthy), etc. will play the majority to see if they are going to make the team, which players they are a good fit with, etc.
