Looking at the length of time it takes to get a tag for just about everythung except perhaps antlered MD... its ridiculous.
Especially when one considers how easily a non-resident can get a tag.
Might just have to relocate after retirement.... living outside of Alberta is the best way to guarantee a chance at some species as long as a guys is willing to throw enough coin at it.
Thanks to the OP for posting the link.

These stats are not very usefull as they are bogus. i applied for moose in 328 this year for the nov 1-30th season with a priority 7 and was not drawn. According to this there were 100% drawn with a p7 and even a few drawn with a p6 so i wouldnt hold much accountability in these stats, needless to say i will be asking our draw department alot of questions on this.

I agree Big Daddy....should allow less tags for non-residents for some species.

Did you apply solo? Or did you apply along with someone else who had lower priority?

I like what they did with the Trophy Antelope tags in WMU 150, 151, 152.
2012 15 tags
2013 207 tags

What a complete joke in 150-152!!!! I work in the area and it's hard as hell to find a herd of antelope...Nevermind 207 of them!! How can you go from 15 to 207 with that kind of winter again.

Same for 116,119,124,148. 152 tags is ludicrous. We farm in 148 and use to see them all the time on our land. Now they are as rare as hen's teeth. We see the occassional one, but nothing like we saw four or five years ago.
When you compare the other areas, the tags are all way under 100, even in the areas where they are much more abundant, like 102 and 108. This doesn't make sense. There much be an error, or somebody is smoking something funny......
Does anybody know who the biologist for this area?
Doesn't make sense to me.

I just did some checking on and in the last 10 years, there never have been that many tags (152) available for 116,124,119, and 148. Somebody must have royally screwed up!

It doesnt make alot of sense that a few miles away in Saskatchewan, there has been no season for antelope in the past two years due to population concerns, yet cross the boarder into WMU 148/119 and there are all time record amounts of Alberta tags being given out. Its a farce.

I'll throw out three possibilities for the number of Pronghorn tags.
1) The animals were there during the surveys but have migrated elsewhere before the hunting season. I have seen this happen in previous years.
2) SRD is over-issuing licences in these zones in an attempt to reduce the number of applicants in the draw knowing that having a high number of hunters results in a greatly reduced success rate.
3) SRD wants to put more resident licences on the books for the sake of optics and the Outfitter Policy ratios, again feeling safe in over-issuing licences due to decreased success rates or knowing that the animals are just not there.
I am continuing to have great concerns and questions about how Pronghorn population surveys and Resident licence issuing are being managed.
An email to F&W head office will answer the question of which biologist is in charge of Pronghorn management.

The few high tag Antelope zones are bad business! .....they got wmu 144 and area right with only a handfull of tags, but the 152 & 200 and some ,tag zones are uncalled for....

Nice to see I only have 14 other people running around in my 252 elk tag though! Wishing I wouldn't have 999 my antelope

just a few months ago you were crying loudly about too few stinker tags. seems like maybe you just like to complain? let us know when you decide what your stance is. from what I can tell, it looks like you just need to squawk about something just to be heard.

You only got to be P1 for bull moose late season in some zones.

What really confuses me is that in 150-152 antelope, 84 percent were drawn on a priority 10, but 100 percent were drawn on a 9? Computer problem again?

Looks like the SRD azz clowns still have no clue about what's going on. the antelope numbers ARE NOT there to justify the amount of tags they are giving out nor are the mule deer numbers. I was hoping things were going to change but it looks like the slaughter is going to continue.
What I want to know is who can I call and tear a strip off of?
And why the hell are we allowing non-residents to hunt antelope and mule deer, especially now? Seriously folks its high time we raised some serious shyte!

It's two P10s that didn't get drawn,,, more likely an application error or perhaps they applied in a group application with someone who had a lower priority.
