Don't think the OP said anything about killing it or poaching it.

Ahhhh come on ..... eating one walleye out of Wab can't be worse than bait fishing with live bait (game fish) at Wabamun. lol.

Reminds me of the time I was reeling in a small hammer handle and a big girl side swiped my hammer handle and tore it to shreds ....... I guess I "officially" broke the law there ...... for a second ....lol.

Anyone who doesn't believe that Wabamun has been stocked with walleye can stick that in their pipe and smoke it!

Even when I tell people I heard it from a F&W officer they don't believe me.

If you were aware of the regs you would then understand that wabamun is a c&r lake. The op did not say he wanted to catch and kill or eat his fish,
He would like to catch it just like any other angler would.

There are number of posts along with pictures on this forum where guys have caught some pretty nice walleyes out of Wabamun.

They are definitely there and, as another added feature, the SRD has listed the size and quantitiy of walleyes stocked into Wabamun, so that is also available as public information. Looks like this has been going on for years ...

So I'd say you have ample evidence to pack a pipe.

Was out there on Tuesday and the ice was fine. It's going to take a while to make a dent in that ice. Fair amount of snow but we got around fine in a 4x4. Good thing it's the end of march or it could be extension worthy.

I bet you didn't even have to duck to miss that one going over your head!
