Default Non resident coyote hunting

Hi guys, just a quick question. I was talking to a couple resident who said "You don't have to be a resident or have a license to hunt coyotes in Alberta. You just need a gun. " Is this true or not? I love hunting coyotes but I work out here and see coyotes running all over the place and think, jeeezz I could have a ball hunting coyotes out here. What do I Need and what are the rules? I don't wanna change my resident just to hunt coyotes.

Not sure about non residents , but non resident aliens must purchase a licence and either be guided by an outfitter or hunter hosted . A nonresident also must have a licence so I am assuming he needs to be guided as well .

I believe a non resident needs a license plus hunter host.
