Default GPS Question

I am upgrading my handheld Garmin to a better Garmin GPS and was wondering how do I transfer my info from one to the other?

Default google earth

is your friend. download google earth then connect your gps up to your computer. Then using google earth you can download waypoints, tracks etc. Then connect your new gps and upload the waypoints. NIce thing about it is it will show you your waypoints when you open google earth.

Garmin provides a free program for transferring data and managing maps called Mapsource. If your unit came with nRoute you can use that too. Finally there are free utilities like GPSBabel which can store and translate data between various formats. You will need a USB cable and the driver to transfer any data, these are available on the Garmin support website.

Ozi Explorer is another one, it talks to all of the GPS units. Garmin, Lowrance and Magellan.
