hope your deal included the shipping and the customs because that is the part that rapes you when buying directly from foxpro..

Good job. The spitfire I think is awesome. Especially for the price.

It's not too bad (relatively speaking) if you ask them to ship USPS ground. UPS can be very expensive for shipping and brokerage.

Smile USPS all the way!

I buy lots of stuff from the USA. Always use the post office, they get all incoming product anyway and they only charge $5.oo brokerage fee.

Why is that?
If shipped USPS, there is a $5 customs fee sometimes and sometimes the G.S.T.

What were the charges for. You would have an itemized invoice.

Default just ordered a foxpro

You're going to like that call. let me tell you, coming from a guy who hunts coyotes hard all winter and fall, the Spitfiire is a great call. It's more than loud enough, especially to a coyotes ear. They don't care how much a call costs. A good yote hunter wants to travel light and be as efficient as possible. Of all the sounds I have I only use maybe 5 for coyotes, and that certainly does everything I could ask for. I order from Cabelas in the states all the time, and the shipping cost to my local post office are a lot less than having to drive 2 hours to get to the city. I've found Foxpros service to be excellent. No worries. Enjoy your call.

I wanted to order one myself, but the seller couldn't tell me if the sounds you can buy from FoxPro can be downloaded and entered on the call using a Mac.

I went to the FoxPro site but it looks like the only way I can get info is to buy the sounds first.

Anybody know how that works? I'd like to buy some additional sound tracks and load them onto the FoxPro - or SD card or whatever it has - but can I do that with a Mac? I am done with Windoze computers and will not ever own another one, so it's kinda important.

thx,

I have a Foxpro (Snow-Crow) and I can transfer sounds between my Mac and the Foxpro. However, the transfer utility that came with the Foxpro (4 years old) does not work on my Mac. I use Finder to transfer (drag and drop) the sounds to the Foxpro. Then it's a matter of adding the 3 digit prefix to each track, this may no longer be the case on the new Foxpro's???

Whether you order from Foxpro or an authorized reseller your call should come preloaded with the sounds you select. A friend just got a Krakatoa from Foxpro and it came preloaded with the sounds he selected. He only had to pay PST/GST (same as he would if he bought it up here) when he picked it up at the post office.

I plan on getting one for next season. I tried getting one from Cabelas and Bass pro, but they are always out of stock(backordered).I guess a guy could order it straight from Foxpro. All I know is a decoy is the best. They come right in and don't even notice you.

The best way to do it is, call Foxpro, tell them what sounds you want, they will program them for you and you can just give them a Visa number. You can preview all their sounds if you go to their website. Just google "Foxpro".

OK, never thought of doing it that way. I was trying to deal with an eBay seller.

thanks, too, Cinch. I appreciate the help. Hopefully, I can get this done while wolf hides are still good.

I got a Spit Fire for Christmas and used it quite a bit for the first few days and was only able to bring in 1 dog. On a couple of occations it started to screech out an electronic type noise, and another time it just quit working. I have gone back to open reeds and am once again enjoying some success.

Just got my order from Sinclairs Friday, cleaning supplies (patches, brushes), a powder funnel and a catalog. Product was 112.00US, add 26.80US shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Customs charges 0 for duty, 8.50can for handling, and 5.62GST. Can't wait to get the VISA bill to see what chunk they took for the conversion of the US $ to Canadian $.

I just received my Foxpro FX3 today. I ordered it directly from Foxpro website. It was shipped by USPS and when the lady came to the door there was a $26.91 cent customs charge that I had to pay that I was unaware of. But as soon as I put batteries in and heard sound I forgot about that. lol Can't wait til days off Thursday morning to try it out.

Avoid couriers, especially UPS. They will gouge you for filling out a 4" form and calling it "customs agent fee" or whatever.

I use USPS International Priority whenever possible. It's not slow and they charge me from a few bucks to maybe $9. Big diff.
