Default I wish I was a "road hunter". lol

The past couple days I have been seeing moose all over the roads. The first guy I saw running right down the middle of a paved township road and when I got close he hoped the fence into a yard. I managed to cow call him from the truck (inside) and hold him there for about a minute but I took off to check my cams and do some hunting. I didn't see anything while hunting. LOL

This morning a bull ran across a double lane divided highway just north of
Beaumont and inside of the city (of Edmonton) limits. I managed to snap a quick picture of him as he trotted across an open field, he definitely was on a mission.

It seems the moose are on the move, around here anyways. While I don't mind seeing wildlife while driving I'm hoping to see more game while hunting. Anyway I hope you guys (& gals) enjoy the pics, sorry they're not better & be careful on the roads, as well as in the bush as the moose are acting stupid these days.

Tried to send them from my phone but wouldn't work so I had to send them to my computer and upload them from there. Just previewed them and the ones of the bigger bull are really small, sorry again. You'll have to zoom in on your computers and phones guys.

I had my bow with me when I saw the first guy & was on my way to my stand. I even thought about knocking on the door of the yard that the moose was in but the gate was locked and there was a for sale sign next to it. lol I guess the moose knows the "home free" spots in the bow zone.

Last weekend was headed north on hwy 2 out of Calgary heading to Edson on Sunday morning, got north of Airdrie just settling into my 5 hour drive, when while approaching the Beisker/Drum exit I glanced over to the east looking at the Money's Mushroom farm when up out of the ditch of the service road paralleling the hiway came a big bull moose. I only got a 3 second look at 120kmph but he stood tall on the service road, sure hope he decided against crossing # 2....

Consider yourself lucky you didn't bag one. Moose are tall enough they'll come over the hood and through the windshield. Not good for the Health.
