Default Tornado Warning.

Just saw an emergency alert on T.V. warning of a possible tornado in Panoka area. Hope it doesn't happen. Good luck guys.
I took a video today of what looked like a huge umbrella of black clouds over our part of town. Got a little nervous when hail started, but was glad it petered out.

After surviving Black Friday, when the sky gets dark and ugly the urge to head for the basement is overwellming. Stay alert and be safe.

Sometimes stuffing down a gutburger is the MOST IMPORTANT thing that could possibly be happening.

Just went to the funnelcloud touchdown site. It's about 5 blocks north of the ponoka hospital and care center. Some broken power pole sized trees broken off and dumpster thrown about.
if this would have been about 1 mile due south it would have landed in the middle of the sea of rv's.
if this would have been pine lake or black Friday type event, there would have tens of 1000's of deaths with no were to shelter in place..
compounded by one of two bridges is closed for renovation access would have stopped.
The community dodged a bullet last night, a very serious bullet.

Yep roger it would have been total devastation, along with MAJOR loss of life, just nowhere to go!!

How right you are Roger, my mother in law is a resident at the Ponoka seniors lodge and her report was quite colorful. D.H.
