Default Winchester AA Tracker

Looking to stock up on some target loads and the AA's are on for a good price.

Haven't shot the "tracker" version though, does the colored wad really stands out?

The coloured wad is sometimes easy to see sometimes not, I bought some of the orange ones and they were usually visible against the skyline but not against trees, they have a dark color for overcast I believe.couple things that I noticed was that quite a bit of shot stays stuck in the tracker wad, and the wads fly way farther than regular wads

Excellent for beginners or learning a new gun. Always have a handful in the range bag of both black and orange that I hand out to kids trying the sport. Once they figure out where they are shooting most are not so bad and hooked on the sport.

A few people brought them out to try at skeet, but I haven't found them to be overly useful.

The wad path and POI have not much to do with each other in my opinion. I found it weird that a brand like AA would market a gimmick like this.

Do they work for instruction purposes?

The orange are hard to see black seams to work best in all light conditions. They are a good tool when light will not allow to see shot string.

I haven't used the tracer's but with most shot shell loads, the wad is not a good indicator of where the shot column really is so unless Winchester has found a way to have it follow the shot perfectly then it's a worthless gimmick.
As far as instruction goes, if the instructor can't tell where you are missing a target then he isn't qualified to be an instructor.

Some shot is retained in the wad. I've found POI for the wad and the shot to be very good out to about 40 yards.

Depends on where you are shooting. Its easy to see where they are missing against blue sky, not so easy in other conditions.

+1 I have seen the wad strike the target in skeet, yet no shot hit the target.
