I'm out Edmonton way for a week or so and would love to hook into a couple of fish we don't have out in the lower mainland. I brought a light spinning combo, a few spinners and spoons and some random hooks and junk, and my float tube. If a guy didn't have much travel time from Northlands, is the best bet out by Strathcona Science park or Dawson bridge? Somewhere else? What would you locals throw in the water, and what would you target at these spots this week? (Just full of questions, aren't I )

Some company would be great, but I can't really tell what my week is going to look like yet. Most likely weekday evenings or really early mornings are going to be best for me.

Thanks in advance, and you guys have an awesome site!

Looking for 1-2 people to go out all day sunday. I have the boat, Looking to split the cost of gas to get wherever. Towing with a 2wd Tundra with the small motor, so gas is not overly guzzled. Would like to head North to maybe Gull or Sylvan. Rain or shine.

Take up alodar on his offer or go to goldbar which I'd very close to northlands. Jigs or pickerel rig with worms should get ya pike walleye and suckers

I should have added above that the boat gas is my cost. I use the 135 to get from place to place on the water and then switch to the electric motor after that. If it is windy, then the electric has a hard time trolling in a straight line. At that point, I usually just anchor or drift with drift socks.

I might have to check out the Res one night. Shame I'm only a shore guy until I can convince my better half to let me get a kayak.

Default peace river area

looking to head out and catch some walleye in the peace area. Im new to walleye fishing and have only caught a couple little ones on winagimi this year. I just bought a boat (1650 rebel SS lund, 50 hp mercury) and have the truck to tow it to a lake that is somewhat close by. All i need is someone to show me the finer points in catching walleye. I got some rapala's, jigs, rods, pretty much everything i think i would need. Also have fly rods if anyone can show me how to catch walleye on the fly. The boat is NOT a jet boat, so cruising the rivers will be out. Anyways PM if you think you can help me catch some walleye. I'll even bring the beer.

PS. I'm not new to fishing, caught lots of salmon and trout and such, but this is the first time ive been fishing in walleye country.
