Default Fish finder on a float tube

Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone uses a fishfinder on a u shaped floattube, i have a fishcat 4. I have heard of them being used on pontoons etc. Also what brands would work, do your feet get in the way etc.

Thank you

I've run a Hummingbird Piranahmax240 on my Super Fat Cat for years now. Works great. It's similar to this newer model

I'm using an Eagle Fishmark portable that I picked up from the fishin' hole a few years ago. They also had the pontoon adapter mount and straps. Works well. No issues with interference as long as the transducer is mounted on the outboard side of the tube. My chronimid fishing has improved considerably since using a fish finder. Good luck!

I have fished out of both flt & pt boats. The best finder is one that has a sidefinder mechanism.Fishing buddy 120 b&w or 140 color.Attachment to the boats.I built my own 2" abs pipe,[depth of the boats tubes],a 2"coupling with 45 degree angles on both ends.Glue them together.Run a 1"nylon strap w an adjustment buckle thru. it.If you'd like a picture send me your e address.
