Default New rod being built. Whats your recomendations?

So I am getting a 3wt 4 pce rod built for me by mid west customs. I have the option of an inscription or my name on the rod. But I'm not very original. Whats your recommendations? Name or inscription? Thoughts?

It's really a personal preference , my fiancé got her name on it, I got my name, Steves company name and a rainbow trout on mine. My inlaws got their 35th anniversary on their spin rods.

Don't put you name on it if you ever wish to sell.
The rod blank manufacturer is important. Who put the parts together really doesn't matter to a new purchaser.

87stocker is original.
Try that.
Pick something that inspires you to fish.
I put personal wording on my custom Sage rod and am happy I did.

jungle cock feather inlays are cool...

here's a bunch of rod decals from mudhole, I'm sure if you request one of these specifically they'd be happy to put it on for you.

Also look at weaves and marbling.

That means more epoxy on bottom section. It's a 3wt keep it simple.

a decal or jungle cock inlay would not be more than a couple inches of epoxy.

although I'll admit that a 3wt would be pretty small for a decal... jungle cock would still be cool.

I have decided to get "Custom Built for Alan Ritchie" as well as the details on the rod and of course "built by midwest customs". I don't know why anyone would ever want to sell a fly rod. Especially one I had built for me. Bare minimum it will go on display, or get passed to a nephew for me. Steve has been awesome to deal with giving me choices based on what I wanted to see. I cant wait. Too bad the exchange rate sucks right now. I still think for what I'm getting its a more than fair price.
So here is the package:
3wt 4pc 7'9"moderate/fast IM8 rod - matte green in color
The cork that is found in pic 89 on his rod gallery on the site.
Single foot lightweight guides
Hook wrap will be a medium brown color finished with bronze metallic wrap trim
A hook keeper
Old growth dark walnut wood inlay
Nickle silver hardware.
I will post pics as soon as I get it. I don't want Steve to send me pics before, unless he has a specific question on a small area. I just want him to ship it to me. Now I need to find a reel.
