Default At the bench today

Had some time to sit down and tie a few flys. Here is what I tied today

TroutBug some very nice fish catching patterns. Several I really like

The one with the Rubber legs What hook are you using Is it a Scud hook or is a Klinkhamer hook.

Also with the minnow patter what size hook are you using. That one looks pretty sharp.

First thanks for the posts, excellent work. The small "rings" around the throat of the hook, are part of the vise or are they part of the fly?

Lovely pictures. If it is not too much to ask could you tell us the camera, distance, shutter speed and exposure. If I can't tie flys like you maybe I can take better pictures.

Your presence makes this site a better place!

The rubber leg copper john varient is on a size 12 scud hook

The minnow pattern is on a stainless size 6 mustad, I dont know the hook model number off the top of my head

Thanks for the kind words Densa,

The rings are the hackle pliers I use to hold the fly for pictures.

I am at work now but will let you know what camera I use (its actually the wifes lol) It has a super macro feature which makes a huge differenc

TroutBug thank you for the info.
on the stainless steel hook is that a short shank or standard shank.
I have some Daiichi Stainless that just might work.
