Cool video

I've seen that twice with damsels and once with green drakes, does get the heart racin' and not a hover fly in any box.

It's bad enough I have to contend with selection, size, color, then get the drag free cast. Now I have to suspend my fly 2" above the surface. Cripes I'm done for.

Great vid. Thanks for posting.

Thumbs up airborne trout

I was lucky enough to have a similar experience at Minnie lake on Douglas Lake ranch back in the early nineties on dry damsels I always have them in the kit when lake fishing now but have not experienced it on a river let alone with Browns.... awesome footage!

Yes it is incredible but when you havent the right fly in your box it is heart breaking watching a fish of that size rise all round what you have on and not give it a second look

This happened to me with a small mouth bass in manitoba. It was feasting on hovering dragon flies. Unfortunately it was before I took up fly fishing. I ended up catching it with a jitter bug slowly reeled in. One of my most memorable catches ever.

I've seen this more than a handful of times on the Elk with cutties but have never got anything near the footage like this! Unreal. Thanks for sharing.

Apparently, and this is just hearsay, there is a brood station somewhere where the employees trained the trout to jump out of the water with a piece of fish food in their fingers.

SeaWorld on a small scale.....apparently.
