Going to start tying some. Any suggestions?

I tossed a whole gammet of flies to tarpon in Cuba. Tarpon eat bait fish. So stick with minnow patterns. Clousers, deceivers and that type of fly. Make a variety of them, small to LARGE. Start with 2" ones and tie them up to 6". Stick with basic colors. Always white for the belly. Silver for the middle and some sparce blue or green on top. I always use a bit of red in the throat area to imitate a wounded bait fish. Don't ask me if the fish like them any better. I need to do more research to find out if the red really matters.

Then go hog wild with other colors and combinations. Red/white, Grey/white, orange/black.

Thought I'd toss in a few of my favorite bone fish patterns. Don't go to Cuba without a few good bone fish patterns.

They do look awesome.

Did you tie those ones? They look great.

No I didn't tie them. I found the pics by searching "Corona Toads". I have also had good luck in Cuba with the rabbit fur Destroyer's although they cast a bit like a wet sock.
