Default One weight line

Folks,

Working on two 8' rods each with 2 tips. One rod is a 2 or 3 wt tip whereas the other will be a 1 or 2 wt tip.
Anyone know where I can get a one weight line? Not looking for an expensive line.

Regards,

Don

Don I've used Orvis wonderline for my 1 wt. It works pretty nice.

Tight Lines Always.

1 wt line is a specialty line, they're gonna bend you over Donald......

Yes it's a specialty line but they really don't bend you over any worse than than do for any other high end line. The big problem is finding someone with one on hand.

Tight Lines Always

Just givin' Don the gears ever since he made me pay through the nose for a short Winston blanked fiberglass rod I badly wanted and haven't regretted.

I'd loan him a line but the lightest I have around here is a 2

Might want to try pieroway rods, they carry Varivas lines, and i beleive i saw a dt1 line on their display, dt 2wt for sure. These lines are very fine and on low side of aftma grain rating. $50 if im not mistaken.

Rio Trout LT DT, they make it down to 000wt. Probably your only option in Alberta, I think Snowbee used to make a 1wt line.

Folks,

Looks like three leads at least.
Now I have never tackled a one weight. Have built a bunch of 2 wts. From 6'>8'. The one weight is a flier into the unknown at the request of a previous customer.
The 8' 2/3 wt. gets reel seat and handle in the AM.
And Taco, you should head back and pick up the other Winston.
And it's only 6 weeks till opening day - somewhere.

Regards all,

Don
