Default The $400.00 Whitetail Antler Shed

Well gang...got my most expensive whitetail antler yet
..A very decent 5 point

Was driving a trail on the property late one night after a long evening walk, varied from trail just inchs.. was within yards of cabin when "PSSSSST" truck Immediately leaned heavy to righ side...

Crawled underneath truck and found this...

It was so wedged in we couldnt move it by hand...a couple inches of main beam penertrated sidewall and broke off...

Destroyed new tire and bent rim...even with tire removed it wouldnt come off without moving brakes lines etc...

*A good reminder to check spare make sure its serviceable and accessible...save yourself the mayhem..had one a few years ago with the crank line spare tire holder under vehicle that was a nightmare...thank the hunting gods that went all smooth with the spare...but I prepared for that!

Finding nice shed...NOT priceless =Total bill $400.00

Neil

LOL YES..I agree...I did that this summer while gopher hunting with some disgarded electric fence wire in tall meadow grass that tangled around rear tire axle...man that stuff is tuff...destroyed brake lines..

wow. Can't believe it bent the rim...you have tough deer on your property.

I'm sure he's on your 'hit list" now.

Had a deer shed wedge itself in between the dual tires of our tractor while seeding a few years back. We were shut Down for a couple days during prime seeding time and had to replace the two tires bringing the bill over $5G.
***** happens.

I have a good farmer friend that jokingly threatens to send me a bill everytime he runs over a shed and gets a flat on a piece of his equipment. He ususally gets 2-3 flats a year. I am suppose to pick every shed out there. As much as I'd love to you can't spot em all.
I had one come up under my snowmobile track and lodge up between the track and tunnel. No damage but an hour of down time getting it out. I was a nice one though.
