Default So I hadda thought...

On my way home tonight I was listening to the Outlaws, and a song came on about a gunfighter and silver bullets.

My question or thought, (I coincidentally just bought a .357 rifle).
Has anyone cast and shot pure silver bullets, or a combination of silver and (insert another alloy mix) to soften it.
If so how did it shoot? Accurate, did it tumble. If it's possible (anything is possible, I know). A guy (me) might be interested in having a couple cast and loaded. Obviously, you can't load for people, but I would be available to help load them myself and pay for components used. I would just need some guidance. (lots of hand holding) lol.

Werewolf or a Witch (Freeland) comes to mind, they would be a good source.

Good starting point, would be to see how hard silver is compared to copper or brass.

Lol, no drinking, and I knew the Lone Ranger shot them, and did pretty well for himself. If I recall hiss were cast from the melted down stars,( or I’m mis remembering).
I get where this thread is going though. Lol. N’uff said.

I've got a couple pounds of silver bearing solder that I've been saving to cast into bullets one day.
I figure that every time I shoot at a coyote and he keeps running, it can only mean he was a werewolf.
That is the only logical explanation for it.

Check out the products available from Minuteman Ammo:

If you get bit, you know what you have to do.
Good Luck!

ETA- This is an interesting read by someone who has cast silver bullets:

Years ago, maybe 40, Gunworld did a try at it in an article and came to the conclusion that silver did not make good bullets!

Might be cheaper than silver these days. Lots of guy getting divorced these days, might be some cheap rings to be melted down. Any leads?
