Thumbs up Any Canuck Fans Here?

I’m a proud Albertan but grew up on the coast. Still haven’t been able to kick my interest for this perennial losing squad, but there is a glimmer of greener pastures. Maybe not this year but off to a good start.
Hughes is the real deal. Hard to believe so many teams passed on him!
Hard not to like the way this team plays. It’s an exciting brand. Not if Myers can only stay outta the box....

I too grew up on the coast and still a Canuck fan. Saw the ‘82 run and the ‘94 riots. Linden was playing with a broken body, but almost won it all by himself. Thought they had it in 2011, but the mounting casualties ended their run against the stronger Boston team. I like this young squad. A few more pieces and they can be a real contender in a couple of years.

Ya had Kesler not been playing on a busted hip, 2011 could very well have gone differently. I was 9 in 94 and remember them losing game 7 on my bday. Brutal. That was a special team too.
Looking forward to round 1. Things are shaping up nicely with a lot of top seeds being eliminated.
Who knows?!

I grew up on the Coast and was a diehard Canucks fan when I was younger but I've given up on them. 2011 was the last straw. They are just incapable of getting it done...

Rather see the Canucks win it than the Flamers.

I grew up in BC but never was a big fan when they started out. Really followed the bruins. Canucks did have some great players like Smyl Lever Naslund. Man I must be old I remember Quinn and Kurtenbach. Lol.

Loved them as a kid when we lived in Vancouver. Then hated them when Kesler, Bieksa and the twins played for them. Now hate them slightly less than the greasy oilers. Still think they have the worst fans in hockey.

Hey don’t forget “king” Richard, Harold Snepts, and that Swedish guy with Smyl.

Always liked Snepts. Gradin is the guy you are thinking of.

Been a fan since '84. We moved from the states up to Calgary in '83 and I was introduced to hockey properly for the first time. Followed the Flames for the first year until I learned a bit more about the game, then we moved to BC and I started cheering for an NHL team, haven't looked back since. Like any other team, lots of ups and downs, lots of cheering and lots of cursing, that's what being a fan is all about.

They match up well against the Blues. They’ve beaten them a couple times this year. Won’t be easy but it is possible

The city of Vancouver can't afford to have them make the finals. The fans will burn the city regardless of the outcome.

The Canucks looked pretty good. Bennington looked pretty weak on those stick side shots. Weak enough goaltending to be mentioned at the end of the game. Nice win.

He had a lot of fire that's for sure. Got to love guys who go from "good" to "great". He's basically willed himself to be better. Good choice for captain.

Horvat was a great pick at #8. They brought him along nicely too. Markstrom is finally getting the street creds that he deserves. The Canucks have put together a great young talented crew.
