Any one have any luck in catarack creek this year it seems like something has happened to the fish. Walking a huge stretch 5 km from the trunk road never even seen a fish.

I was wondering the same thing!

I fished it from the campground downstream back in mid-July two years ago and caught brookies on dries, streamers, nymphs, basically couldn’t keep em off.

Stopped in again this year, once again in mid-July for a quick fish. Ended up fishing my way to the falls, didn’t see a single fish. Visibility was fantastic, numerous bugs coming off the water. No fish, no rises, nothing.

It was really strange. I decided the fish gods figure I deserved a good humbling after a great day on the Livingstone the day before.

give it about a month gents, this spring run-off has been so late that things still have not settled enough for the fish to be back to their old haunts perhaps? The creek I have been fishing is normally stellar from Mid June til July, it still hasn't produced, but the water has just come down and cleared up, so lets hope that's it.
