Default Who’s going out for the Archery opener?

Moose opens on August 25th for archery up here. I’m heading out for a 4 day solo hunt in 530. Hoping to get my first bull with archery gear. Hopefully the weather isn’t too hot or the bugs too bad. The Solar inflatable and Merc jet are all tuned up. As well as my Honda Capstan winch, which is a Godsend when you’re by yourself and you get one of those big pigs on the ground....or it runs out into some water and expires.

Who else is heading out for the opener in your area and what are you after?

Good luck to all!

Probably head out for a chance at a velvet whitetail, couple nice ones hanging out in my neck of the woods. Excited to get out for sure!

Good luck to all!

Sept.1 for me. Good luck to all you archers out there. Hope it’s an exciting and successful season out there for all. I know I’m chomping at the bit to get going. Shooting form and accuracy is sharp. Stands and blinds have been up for weeks now soaking. Oh ya

First five days of September I'll be sneaking the coulees for mule deer. So excited - I'm punching foam in the garage nearly every night!

Will do Cat, thanks!

It will be a late start tomorrow for me. It’s my wife’s birthday today so I’m heading out solo in the morning for 4 days of trudging around the river up north. It should be a lot of fun....unless I get one on the ground, then it will be a lot of work...

Default elk

Went out last week for elk. Didn't see or hear anything. But did see a black bear, 2 groups of mulee bucks, 3 groups of mulee does, 2 cow moose and a bull moose. Spooked the bear and does so didn't get a shot off. No tags for anything else. Will be heading to the tree stand this weekend.
