Default Where are the boat launches on the North Saskatchewan River near edmonton?

Where can a guy launch a boat outside the city on the North Saskatchewan? I tried looking around east and west of Edmonton a few times and found Devon the Only spot. Is there boat launch access for a jet boat?

There is a good boat launch in Fort Saskatchewan. The Gibbons Motor Toys people use it to show off their jet boats.

If you go west of Edmonton about 30 miles on Garden Valley road (Hwy627) to RR 33. Drive south until the end of the road, which ends in the river. Seen boats put in and take out there but its not really a groomed or man made launch. Solid gravel.

Edmonton is supposedly going to spend a couple million on boat launches.

Thanks for the responses guys. In EdmontonI can use Gold Bar but was thinking of maybe doing some fishing or hunting outside city limits.
I will have to check out the Fort Sask one as well.

It seems like there aren't areas to access it other than close to town. Would be nice to see if a moose hunt is possible along the rivers and crown land that isn't easily accesible

Have not been there for a few years but there was a good boat launch at Devon. There is also one by Drayton if you want a longer float to do some hunting.

Going upstream from Edmonton:

* Devon. Park, south side of bridge, on downstream side.
* Genesee. Currently no access because of bridge repair. Non-trailered boats only. Too rough for trailers.

* Greenhoughs. site of the former ice bridge when Genesee was a a ferry. Both sides can be used if you are comfortable with cobble shores. Approximate location: 53.398772, -114.372653

* Berrymore Bridge. South side, Range Rd 60A, Lindale, AB T0C 1W0 53.314915, -114.753527

* Drayton Valley Bridge. Take first exit W. Side of bridge on south side.
you have to go a good ways up the hill. 53.204600 -114.929795

If you want to go further up, get the guide at MEC This gives lots of info for the reach from Nordegg to Drayton
