Default Preparing Moose Scapula

I called in a young bull last weekend for my dad and he put it down. So this season already a huge success. But as we clean the bull I decided I wanted up up my game and add a scapula for taking into the fray.

So what is the process to clean and preserve a scapula so it will last long and be durable?
Thanks

Funny I was just doing mine a few minutes ago. I soaked mine for a couple weeks under water till it’s real sticky and rotten. The more rotten the Easy to clean. Once rotten I pressure wash all the flesh and crap off. Then I just keep them in a cool dark place in the basement. It’s a stinky messy project. A guy could boil the crap out of them but I think they become more brittle with boiling.

trim off as much meat as you can, put it in your back yard in a tree to dry out, and that's it.

Two scapulas together make a nice fighting sound. I’m
Not sure what two pieces of wood together will sound like
