Default 300 PRC Load Data

I wanted to create a thread where people who are working with this new cartridge can share info about what has been working and not working developing loads for this cartridge.

I recently built a rifle on a Rem 700 action with a 26" International Barrel's 1/8 twist 5R Barrel.

Velocity Data taken with Lab Radar Chronograph

Some Factory ammo data:

Hornady 225 gr. ELD-M
Velocity 2900 FPS Avg with ES around 20 FPS

Hornady 212 gr ELD-X
Velocity 2920 fps Avg. ES 32

My first Handloads were done using the following components
Brass ..... ....Hornday
Primer..........Win Magnum
Powder.........H4831sc 74 Gr.
Bullet ..........212 Hornady ELD-X
Coal............3.636"

Results
Avg Velocity 2918 fps ES 32 SD 16.3
Group sub MOA
No Pressure signs

This load was taken from the Hornady Manual. Posted in this thread as an image
