Looks like NO further action for Bennett on his hit last night. Good as it was cleaner than Dumba's hit on Backlund.

There is a bit of an article about it on Calgary Puck.
Not sure how reliable it is.

Lots of butthurt by Sharks fans from that hit. I guess someone timed it and slowed it down, from releasing the puck to contact they tell me it was 0.6 seconds. So it would seem it was a nice, clean check.

Yeah what I seen on Twitter could be not 100% as well, but think we would have heard something by now.
I was just checking the fantasy tracker as good source to hear things. Big Save Dave is day to day with lower body injury. Gillis called up from Stockton and will back up Smith tonight. Not the news we wanted to hear.

He is scheduled to play tonight. I also had heard is was within the .6 rule.

Have you listened to the Audio of the Sharks PBP guy? Holy HANNA BATMAN. Is he upset. And if I hear one more time that the game was out of reach and there was only 25 seconds left I am going to scream.
Play the game to the whistle. Or in this case, the horn. Hrudey was right. You have to keep your head up especially in games like that.

Awesome check and within the rules of the game.

Tried to find the Sharks PBP guy, Haha I can only imagine. I want to hear what the players were jawing about after that between the benches. That would be awesome.. On the Road here and hopefully rack up some points and start pulling away. Man I hope Dave's injury is just a tweek..
Bennett hit was obviously within the rules and must have been by a hair but hey good clean hit, I love it.. Make teams hate us I don;t mind that.

Exactly right. The only thing in question is whether the hit was late or not (NOT! .6 is legal), and if the head was the target. Not! Perfect shoulder to the chest. Suck it up buttercup, the Sharks were playing like jerks all night, and the stick that Bennett got from Dillon was disgusting. Somebody needed a wake up call, and Bennett delivered it perfectly. Maybe next game that loud mouth A hole Kane can talk it over with Benny. Love that kid. His moustache is giving him God-like powers to crush.

Dumbest reasoning ever hey? Are the just suppost to quit trying? Maybe the Penguins should have let up when it was 5-1? Our society, whining about a clean hit, good grief. Due to stints like this, I unfortunately think it is just a matter of time till hitting is removed.

I wonder what the Guppies PBP guy said about the Dillon spear on Bennett?

Shouldn't the San Jose player been suspended for starting a fight in the last few minutes of the game?

Still not sure how Bennett got a match penalty and if it has been rescinded. All of that is confusing. On the board at the game, they put down 3:00 min...

Well, Smith is starting tonight.. Should be interesting to say the least. It's a "Let down" game and we have someone who is struggling.

This is a game that should be 2 points, if the flames want to get some separation in the standing they need to approach the "easy games" the same as they approach the statement games. We have lost too many of these games in the past and this season. Its great that we can hang with the Tampa/Nashville/Winnipeg/San Jose teams we expect to see in the playoffs, but we need to start winning these type of games consistently.

The Flames need to come out firing on all Cylinders right from the start and not let off the gas at all. Especially with Smith in net we are going to need to score 3-5 goals.

My brother, a cough cough Oiler fan, said the same thing. If they show up to play, they are one of the best teams in the league. The issue being they don't always show up.

Wow, those tears of outrage were deeelicious! What a pack of goofs. 'I don't know don't got into Bennet!' uh, it was Dillon's stick? With no call, of course. What a bunch of whiners. 'oh, he targeted the head!'...no. He didn't. Was clean, and maybe a tad late. Suck it up, or go watch figure skating.

The moose tenderloins I'm having for supper are pretty delicious too!!!mmmmmmmmmm

Both teams seem to be having problems handling the puck, lots of turnovers on passes...puck bouncing on bad ice?
