Default changing hunting residency

Hello...

I have been living in BC for work for a while now and am eligible to become a BC hunter.

I am planning on switching over as I can still do my hunting in alberta with my father.

What do you guys think the best province for hunting is?

Has anyone made the switch before?

If I change my drivers license to bc what do I need to change in alberta?

If you switch over and hunt as a BC resident (which you should if you are "living" there) you will then be a non-resident if you come to Alberta to hunt. You will not be able to apply for any "resident" draws.

Have a good time hunting in BC.

No question that I would get a BC resident hunter #. You will still be able to apply for a good # of Alberta draws with your dad, and you will be able to host your dad in BC for a good # of animals as well. You would be crazy not to. What part of BC did you move to?

Never hunting in either BC or Alberta yet, from reading I think BC hunting would be the way to go. I can't say I'm not excited as hell for hunting in Alberta, just the thought of being able to hunt Grizzly and Mountain Goat, and the different Sheep is pretty neat.
