I don't know how small you're looking for but I sure do like my Yukon 1950 (I think that's what it's called) wood stove. I haven't tried it in cold weather but typical mid fall weather it works good. I like the feature of the diesel burner on it and the telescoping chimney that fits inside the stove during transport.

Check out Kni-Co stoves. You can buy them from www.canadianoutdoorequipment.com. The guys at COE are great, and Kni-Co stoves are bomb-proof. I love mine (Packer model) and use it all winter long.

You are right. A M1950 miltary issue Yukon Stove. A great stove you can still buy today. I like that the smoke stack fits inside the stove for transport and there is even an attachment to allow you to burn white gasoline instead of wood or coal.

If I was going to start over with a new stove for my wall tent it would be a cylinder stove with their pellet burner attachment for night time heating. Once my current rig burns though that’s the route I’m going.

Make sure you buy one with dampers that seal TIGHT. A stove you can’t damper down to a minimum burn will only eat the fuel and cook you out.

Buddy of mine in Calgary makes them from propane tanks...tent stoves, fishing shack stoves, backyard open front fire pits etc.....
He’s not really in the stove making business, but recently retired and just likes to play in garage with new welder and plasma cutter, lol.
That said,he’s made quite a few propane tank stoves and they look and work great,I’m tempted to buy one myself but I already have 2 stoves for my wall tent,a heavy duty stove for truck campsites and a lightweight for more remote locations.....otherwise I’d buy one of his for sure.
Pm me if you want his contact info.

Honestly, I couldn't tell ya. There are a bunch of outdoors-related buy/sell groups on FB. I have seen them for sale on many of them. I recall a guy from Olds was advertising them on FB. I would prob just do a quick search and you will get lucky...or just hook up with the guy in West's post.
good luck!

I had one and stupidly sold it with my military cold weather tent.
They’ll burn any kind of liquid fuel, diesel, ****e gas, kerosene, even used oil which must be a stinky prospect indeed.

I have that stove, but not the fuel kit. Wish I could find the kit!

Sorry, do not like idea of gasoline/white gas even diesel inside a tent with red hot stove. What is wrong with good dry wood that the Queen gives us hunters for Free and much safer with unlimited supply!

You can leave the fuel jug outside and run a line in. The burners for those stoves are ingenious.

/canvastentshop.ca I bought a heavy stove off these guys, pretty cool stuff they got and they reply to all your questions. I believe they have a page of literature on types and what size you need for the size of tent ,burn times etc . It’s worth just reading they’re info on stoves if you’ve got the time.

Anyone know off-hand where a guy could find 2 4" 90 degree bends in 5" stove pipe?
Just got me a deluxe wall tent with the side exit for the stove. Itching to set it up and try everything out.
Home Depot only has double wall pipe it appears. Canadian tire has the wrong sizes. Lowes has them in the US, but can't find in Canada.

Try Peavy Mart. I used to get my stove pipe there all the time.

They've got 6" and closest one is in Strathmore or High River.

Good suggestion though! Used to love Peavy Mart when I lived in Red Deer.
