Default Long term storage of firearms

Hi Guys,

I might be leaving the country later this year for an extended time (1-2 years potentially) for a work opportunity.
Has any one any thoughts/experience with leaving their firearms in storage with a range or gun store? I will be renting out my place when I'm gone but don't want to leave them there.

Thanks in adavance,

Dan

If you have a safe I'll let you store them in my premise for $25 monthly paid up front, you keep the combo and any paperwork stating ownership.
I've got a few sq ft.

Been in your place a few years ago and asked the police and they said most or all (can't remember exactly) storage don't allow guns & the gov/police don't provide such services.
They said I can leave it at my gun club or at a licensed friend. I ended up moving my safe to a friend's house.

Default as well

Take pics and serial #'s and store them at a couple separate locations.Does buddy have home insurance? Kids with shady friends are another concern.I had a buddy lose over 75 guns this way while he went to Nova Scotia and left his teenage daughter at home for 2 weeks.
