Default Flying with Sonar and camera batteries

Before I get put on hold for two hours with WestJet, does anyone know if there are issues flying with batteries for the Marcum fish sonar and camera (12V 9 Amp)? I believe they are only allowed on carry on.

as long as you can power on the electronics you are typically ok
