Default Swarovski Laser Range Input Needed

Well, I might have found some glass for this one eyed hunter.
Wholesale has a pair of Swarovski Laser Ranger 8x30. I held them and put them up to my glasses and I liked pretty much every thing about them. They apparently use the same glass as the SLC line.
They are a discontinued product and from the looks of it have been around for a while. Any one have any kind of experience with this product ? Does the fact of it being around that long make its technology obsolete?
Would you buy these I guess is what I am asking. I have never spent this much before.
Thanks.

Default Swarovski Range Finder

I have one and works great. It will give a reading when my Leica 1200 won`t. The only thing that I don`t care for is the red circle is a little large. Like most range finder`s, it will be hard to get a reading on bright sunny days with snow cover. This one will work when other`s don`t.

I borrowed one from a friend this past fall to use on a prairie elk hunt and they worked great. I was really impressed.

They work really well . they will read things my brothers Leica's won't
there a bit bigger and heavier though . also can't be the warranty , I scratched my lens and sent back for repair expecting a charge . Swaro replaced , cleaned and serviced them for free and paid for the freight both ways .

I have one, it ranges farther than anything else I've ever had or needed & fast. I'll keep mine forever. I'll never need to range farther.
