Default Keeping a goose for a mount

A friend just took a beauty of a banded canada and is wondering how we can protect it to mount? We've never done a goose mount. Do you freeze the bird whole? Can a broken wing be repaired?

Just realized I posted this in the wrong section. Trying to post from the blind doesn't work so well.

I've been told to slide pantyhose overtop of the bird from the head down towards the feet and throw it in the freezer whole. Not sure if that's what every taxidermist wants but thats what I would do.

Default full feathering

Makes for a nicer mount if every feather is grown out full size and pin feathers are gone. I usually do not mount any bird taken before late October early November.

First, you might want to contact the taxidermist you are planning to use, and ask him how he prefers the goose be stored.
