How bad are the ice conditions at slave lake?

I'm planning a trip up to Slave and was wondering if somebody could let me know about the lake conditions??? Flood water??? Ice thickness???

We were at the Narrows last weekend. Tons of snow, approx 16" ice. Fishing was not bad. Snow Machine or Tracks on a quad is a must. no over flow at the narrows
