Yeah had the whole long week end off!!But found that Mother Nature is a little behind.The Red Deer River did not clear until last week.Fished the Jofre Bridge up stream nothing but Walleyes in the 8 to 12 inch size.Down stream of the bridge Gold eyes like ever second cast using both hopper and brown mayflies only.
Today on the Dickson Pond we were treated to a Flying Ant show that brought out Immature Arctic Terns at least 60 birds catching them on the wing and the surface,the Rainbows then start on the surface.But I have not seen flying ants in the fall at all.We also saw 2 pairs of Brown Cormorants along with 3 pairs of Osprey.The Cormorants were a bit of a surprise.All and all a great time.
