Default How exactly does this scam work?

Hey all,

Recently listed my RV on Autotrader and have gotten 2 replies asking to send a company check so it will clear my bank by the time they come pick it up and from Brantford, ON....

I have been playing with these goofs so far, but trying to figure out there angle...LOL

PS. Totally forgot to list it here on Ao, so will be posting up soon.

It's not that complex of a scam.
Just send me a signed cheque, and I'll show you.

The cheque is forged from a company that is real, the bank will let the cheque clear because funds are available after the company finds the discrepancy they will report the forgery leaving you on the hook.

Unfortunately, I asked for the company name and some sort of ID and did not reply back...So yes, it is a scam...

I had someone try to get my name, email address and bank info on Kijiji the other day. I had fun with him.

Can't look up anything that they are not offering...Just an email with no signature and business.....I have asked for information and then stop replying...

One reply said" Well, you can keep your RV for yourself"
