Default 7MM Parker Hale with 3 X 9 Leopold Scope

What would be the app value of this item be considering both are in very good condition, and the rifle having a beautiful marbelled stock. Thxs

I bought the same rifle in 1970 for $289. I have no idea what it is worth today.

It certainly has served me well.

Guys that own em...love em.
Guys that don't tend to value them less.

Most fair-good condition PH's... standard grade to safari that I've seen at auction over the last few years have gone for between 500 and 650.
Those I've seen here have been similarly priced.
The one parts gun I saw went for a staggering 525....lol
Mind you... it had a magazine and they are as rare as hens teeth.

There is a nice looking model 1200 in 270 that keeps popping up.... its missing its magazine.
I've seen it sold 3 times now for between 250 and 500.
I'd like to buy it but I'm waiting for the right price....I have two magazines.

I have not seen any that were IMO excellent.
None had nice marbled stocks all were missing 10-20% of their blueing.

Twas I you.... I'd take it to the range and then decide what its worth is.
Sometimes worth and value are different.
Mine are worth a lot more to me than the market indicates they are.

Just curious... was that new or used?
How did that price compare to say... a model 70 all else being equal?

I had one in a 30-06, 1200 series. It was very nice in 85%-90% condition. I recently sold it for $450 no scope and one extra magazine.

As to your scope, we need more than it being a Leupold. What is the model, age condition. They really vary in price and quality from an early Vari X I to a new modeled VX3.

If it is a standard, middle of the road, Leupold VX II 3 x 9 x 40mm add $250 to the package. Or keep the scope for another rifle....IMO.....
Good luck.

BTW, if you ever need a magazine because you lost yours, they are hard to find and very expensive when you find one....Min $150 each......I would still have mine if it had a drop floor plate.

That was brand spanking new.I topped it with a 4X Bushnell scope that has a post and a crosshair. I think the scope was less than $100.

I had moved from Ontario to B.C. . In Ontario I had a Marlin 444 that I used for moose. I bought it as soon as they came out. I liked it fine for hunting the waterways and bush from a canoe.

When I got to B,C, I started hunting with a guy who convinced me to buy the 7mag.

I took it to the range and sighted it in with open sights, and then put the scope on it and sighted the scope.

First time out in the mountains, it was bitter cold Dec. Got up in the morning the first day and the scope was fogged up. I took it off and went hunting. I killed a nice 5X5 muley.

I took the scope to Bushnell, and they replaced it . That scope is still on the gun and no more problems.

I can't even tell you how much game has been taken with that gun. It is not a tackdriver, but I have very seldom missed or had to track an animal. I think the only big game animal it hasn't killed is a cariboo,

The varnish has long been worn off as has the bluing. The second season I had it I started hunting with horses and had a leathersmith custom make a scabbard. I still take it hunting every year at least a couple times. I may refinish the stock this summer.
