Default My 2010 Whitetail Buck

Hey guys,
Just thought I'd share some pics of the nice buck I managed to close my tag on this year.
I'd been watching this field for quite awhile and knew that there were some good bucks around. Last wednesday night I set up on a little knoll in the field and let things settle for a bit. After almost 45min I began to do some some light rattling and grunts. What seemed like moments later he came in to my right side at 75 yards unexpectedly, catching me totally out of position. But with very light to no wind I was able to stay still and painstakingly slowly adjust my gun and body when he would return to feeding. After glassing him for a couple of minutes while waiting for him to give me a broadside shot I decided that this was a buck I would like to take. I fired from around 80 yards and he was down in less than 50 yards. The new Scope I recently purchased from 1911 worked perfectly with the bullet taking out both lungs and the top portion of his heart. This deer has great character and I am very proud to have been able to take him.

Default Thanks

Tree - Just to be clear this is an Alberta buck. I'm pretty sure that if you shoot a deer like this in NB they put you in a hall of fame or something. hahahahahaha.

Elkaholic - We'll see you out there for sure. Just remember to keep yer stick on the ice bud. hahaha.

Outdoors - Good luck buddy. He didn't score great but should be right up there with years past. Keep at er some day you'll shoot one bigger than the wife. LOL
