Default pontoon boat question

likes? dislikes? tossing around the idea of getting one.
it would have to have a mount for my trolling motor & battery.
can,t afford to spend a ton of cash but would like opinions
on models,brands, etc.

appreciate any info.

thanks

orv.

I have an Outcast Fishcat pontoon ( http://www.outcastboats.com/outcast/...ult.aspx?id=26 ) and it's pretty good. I can't compare to other pontoons, because this is the only one I own. It does have a motor mount and I've used it with an electric motor once, but I found it difficult to troll (preferred flippers).

Outcast quality is pretty good and their customer service is excellent. One of the bladders in my float tube (not the pontoon) had a slow leak in it, so I called them up and they sent a replacement right away. Awesome service!

I see they have a different model on sale now, pretty much the same thing tho, the price is great, and they are a lot of fun, just bring something to pee in if you are pike fishing, you dont want to be hanging over the seat
Ive used mine with a full size deepcycle and electric no problem. get a 10 dollar swivel seat adaptor at crappy tire and you are set

http://ca.wholesalesports.com/storef...rod268585.html

Pros:
I love how there are tons of pockets on mine..
If you can find one at a Peavy Mart like I did, you get them cheap!
Comfortable

Cons:
Heavy. Heavy. Heavy.

My friend has this one:

Loves it, but isn't happy about how few pockets there are and the cost to buy..

Don't know if that helps or not..

x2

I have the Fish Cat Standup version and the trolling motor is awesome to get around to spots. It's almost impossible to troll with it though unless you rig up some kind of rudder/steering system.

Well since gator went to one extreme, I'll go to the other... how about this one?
