Default We're all lucky to have known him

Wow. I have been away from the computer for about a week so I just found out. What a profound loss.

I was fortunate enough to have met Ken last hunting season. He had graciously given me his phone number and offered his advice when he read in a thread that I would be coming up his way for the first time. I didn't plan on bothering him but when circumstances forced us to leave our camp and look for a new place to hunt, I gave Ken a call with the hopes of a point in the right direction. He did far more than that. Despite the late hour, he urged us to meet him at the Denny's in Grand Prairie. We talked for a couple hours over supper (it took quite a while for me to convince him that I was paying). He told us a bunch of great stories and showed us exactly where to go on a map. We never ended up getting the elk that we went up there for but that trip and our short meeting with Ken will remain with me for the rest of my life.

We could all learn from Ken's approach to life. I know I have. Not only his amazing devotion to living each day to the fullest and never giving up but also his phenomenally unselfish nature and willingness to lend a hand (even to a complete stranger). I won't forget him.

For the people that are making a quilt for his family, might I suggest that you print off this entire thread and send it along. I believe it would mean a lot to his wife and daughter to see how many lives he touched on this site.

Ryan

Default Terrible news

Just got back from holidays. Very sorry to hear Ken had passed away. From all of Ken's posts he seemed like a terrific guy. My condolences to his friends and family. He will surely be missed.

Rest in peace and God bless ya Ken.

Default Lets Hit this Home for the Savage

I trust that we as sportman are getting the job done here for this young lady. The best way we can honor ken (Savage) Taylor is to help his family and be one big family of outdoor enthusiasts helping family. Tuc, kelly& Beth, Cat just so many good people willing to help, and to care as well as pass on a legacy of caring.
