When a union membber goes down or leaves us, the brothers and sisters of the whole building trades fraternity pass the hat for the family , and sign cards.
Maybe we could set up an EMT acount for ken's wiife and daughter ?

Herd,
Thank you for posting Ken's address. Instead of emailing the card we all signed, I will print it off and mail it to his wife and daughter via snail mail.

Very sad! I enjoyed his input and his knowledge. I admire his determination and never quit attitude. Rest in peace!

I will plant an apple tree on my property this spring so the deer and game will benefit. He was a true outdoorsmen and will be missed. Every time I walk by that newly planted tree I will remember.

Default Ken

After meeting Ken on this forum we kept in touch over the past couple of years through email and visits to Tim Horton’s. As a fellow cancer survivor and outdoorsmen it was a privilege getting to know him a little. Ken was a great story teller and was full of knowledge for hunting, guns and his Jeep build was incredible.

I have faith he has touched many of us for a purpose greater than we know. I was always amazed with his strength and courage during his most recent encounter with cancer, especially considering he had been through it years before. His love for life reminds me we shouldn’t take it for granted, we should really live it and enjoy it.

Ken – you are a true inspiration.

Truely a shame. Never got to meet him, but he was a very amazing man, to go through what he did and still be able to stay postive and fight it, very impressive. I guess we can take some relief in that he's not suffering any more and has moved to a better place.

He looked this disease in the eye, and refused to go quietly and in the end, showed me what true character is about. The battle may be over for Ken, but speaking for myself, I am inspired by this mans courage in the face of ovewhelming odds. You fought the good fight Ken and I will miss your presence here on the forum. The body may fade, but the spirit remains.................
Well said.
It sure shows a man's character when he can touch so many people that never even got a chance to meet him. He may be gone from this world in body, but his spirit will never be lost in all of us.
There is a Lyric from a Randy Travis song that is very fitting:

"It's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go."

God bless you Ken, and deepest Sympathy to Ken's family, he will be sorely missed ....

"Remember, life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW!!! WHAT A RIDE!" - Ken "Savage" Taylor

AMEN!

I never met Ken, but I remember his posts.
Its a shame when we lose a good person early especially to a disgusting disease like cancer! We've all go to do our part to help beat the &^&$ out of it.

A few of us members have suggested making a quilt for Kens family, in memory of him. Members can donate by contacting me regarding donations. Take a look at the thread Quilt for Ken for the fabric choice.

I remember way back when he first posted that he had been diagnosed with cancer. I never did meet him personally but I'm good enough at math to know that he fought for a long time. The amount of life that man must have had in him.

Rest in Peace Mr. Taylor.
