I'm not an expert on saltwater fish so perhaps I am misidentifying them.

Here are a couple samples of the fish I am calling Cabizon.

I know that in Vancouver they were called Bullheads and most I've seen were under a pound.

All have very large pectoral fins, a large head with protusions above the eyes and almost no body. Most have an almost shaggy appearance but no scales.
They range in color from gray to brown to green to brick red. The colors are always mottled.

All were caught in less then 40 feet of water.

I know they are a Sculpin species as is a Cabizon but I'm not sure if there are Cabizon or some other Sculpin species.

I used the fishing regs and a BC Tidal waters species poster that my brother has, as my identification guide.

OK that's definitely a sculpin of some kind, the Cabezon is bigger, my last one was 13 lbs but they look a lot like these smaller ones. The head on a cabezon is more broad and blunt, and overall coloring is quite dark.
