If you can still find one get a 3-9x40 Bushnell 3200 WSS was blowing them out a little while back....can't go wrong IMHO, I think they were right around your price point too.

A friend of mine bought a 3-9x40 sightron S1 last year at the high prairie gun show for around $125... Makes a bushy look like a tasco... Very nice glass for a rimfire.

Last summer I put a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 on my Sporter Deluxe, which I have really liked for the clarity. More pricey ($170-$200), larger size and perhaps overkill on this gun, but I thought I would mention it as I am enjoying this setup a lot

I picked up a couple of cheap Tasco scope a few years back, 3-9x40, think they were $40 and came with a range bag, bought them more for the range bags then anythng and tossed them both on my .22' ones a single shot bolt action, the other a 10/22, both of them have never shot so well beore i got those scopes. best cheapskate move i ever made. and as far as im concerned you shouldnt be shooting at things far enough away to need a better scope than that. but to each their owm.

I picked up one of those when they had them for around $60 if I remember correctly. A great scope!

Watch for a take off scope from a packaged rifle to get posted on the B&S. I picked a brand new one up with rings for $50. I don't need a 3-9x40, my 3-9x32mm was fine but for 50 bucks, what the heck. Even though it's a bigger scope for the rifle it doesn't seem too bulky to me.

Hold the laughter everyone however years ago I bought the most expensive tactical tasco from Walmart I found. It was 79.99. I have it on a Ruger 10/22 with a foldable butler creek stock and raised see thru rings. It has rolled around int eh bed of my truck, goes in my backpack folded up and lengthy hikes, bounces in the cab of my truck, just regular 22 use, and this gun still drives tacks. Shot the primer out of a shotgun shell at 75 yards.

I have a Tasco Varmint 2.5-10x42 mildot on my 10/22; my Savage .22 magnum also wears the same scope. Been great so far, but the little set screws that secure the turrets are easy to strip.....mind you, I could drill and tap that and put a real set screw in there.
They are pretty reasonable rimfire scopes for the $100 and lower range though. I do like the zoom range, although I generally use 2.5x most of the time.

6x62 Weatherby. German scope I picked up used years ago. Not sure of the actual maker. Does a really good job in low light.
